Since February 2015, Janina Kugel is Chief Human Resources Officer and Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. She is globally responsible for the areas of Human Resources, Diversity, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Prior to that, she was responsible for the Human Resources strategy and leadership development at Siemens.
From 2012 to 2013, she served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Osram. She was responsible for the areas Human Resources, Executive Development and Diversty.
Before that, she held various leadership positions in Siemens in the areas of Human Resources, Corporate Executive Development, Strategy and Innovation Management in Germany, Italy and China.
Janina started her career 1997 as a management consultant at Accenture. During this period she worked for major companies throughout Europe and the United States of America, mainly focusing on process reengineering,
restructuring and organizational design.
Having worked and lived throughout the globe, she became an active member and supporter of Diversity and LGBTI initiatives in Germany as well as on an international basis.
She is also member of the Practice Advisory Council of Hertie School of Governance, Member of the University Council, University of Applied Sciences Ingolstadt and Member of the Board of Siemens Foundation (Siemens Stiftung).
Moreover, she is member of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Healthcare GmbH, Member of the Advisory Council of Pensions-Sicherungs-Verein, and Member of the Executive Committee of the Supervisory Board of Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände (BDA).
Janina earned a Master of Economics from the University of Mainz, Germany, and the Università degli Studi di Verona, Italy.
The mother of two is now living in Munich. She likes to go running and playing the piano when time allows.
