"With both CEBIT Asean and Internet+ powered by CEBIT we have managed to convey the significance and content of the CEBIT brand to the Asian marketplace and successfully adapted it to the demands and challenges of that market. We are pleased that the success of both events will now help to promote digitization internationally", said Marius Felzmann, director of CEBIT Worldwide Events.
A successful launch: Deutsche Messe, in collaboration with Thai trade fair organizer Impact Exhibitions, organized this first digital event geared to the needs of the South East Asian market. Some 170 companies from 12 countries took part in the premiere of the B2B event CEBIT Asean, where approx. 5,000 visitors were able to discover new solutions for the digital transformation.
The Thai government supports the event, which was opened by the Minister for Digital Economy and Society, Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj.
The first CEBIT Asean covered diverse topics ranging from communications, network infrastructures and security to business solutions and emerging technologies such as AT/VR. Microsoft, Rictal, China Mobile, NETT and Logitech were some of the most prominent exhibitors.
One of the highlights of the conference program was the two-day Cyber Security Conference, which attracted approx. 300 representatives from government and the business sector. Another highlight was a presentation of start-ups to an audience of financially influential investors from the ASEAN region.
