In this era of digital revolution, we are having to process an ever-growing mountain of data in an ever-shorter space of time. That's particularly true in areas - from production to marketing and distribution - where the approaches that have been followed for decades are becoming increasingly difficult, or even impossible, to pursue. According to Trovarit, the only way to get ahead is to seek support from state-of-the-art software solutions such as ERP, CRM, MES, ECM, BI and similar. At CEBIT 2018, the company is looking at whether upgrading existing software landscapes with the latest releases is good enough. The alternative would be complete reorganization. For Trovarit, the question is simple - what does it all boil down to when selecting software in the digital age?
Far from claiming it has all the answers, the company is instead organizing free expert tours dedicated to ERP, ECM/DMS and CRM. The tours are being run in collaboration with Prof. Becker GmbH, Schwetz Consulting and the FIR institute at RWTH Aachen University. Lasting around two hours, the tours call at three or four exhibitors, giving them the opportunity to show how their solutions could handle a typical or predetermined digital business process. The scenarios covered range from standard processes to the intelligent networking of production, logistics and customers. The basic idea is to help software users compare the various solutions. For example, ERP suppliers can show how their solution supports the processing of all operational tasks such as processing quotations in sales or distributing finished products.
