Empowering everyone - even people with no programming know-how - to actively shape and orchestrate microservices, Industry 4.0 and the IoT. It’s an ambitious aim, but one that startup company cedalo has set out to meet by specially developing its Streamsheet technology. Streamsheets are user-friendly spreadsheets that can interconnect everything from sensors, IoT devices and apps all the way to business software so that end users can map both simple and highly complex process logics. As server processes, they are designed to allow users to run actions and analyze and process data streams round the clock and in real time.

The interface in cedalo's Streamsheet technology is entirely free from code and resembles a conventional spreadsheet - meaning users of Excel or Google Sheets ought to feel right at home. Thanks to this and the technology's visual and interactive modeling principle, process owners and power users quickly become a dab hand at creating prototypes, simulations and real-time IoT applications - without the need for lengthy consultation with IT experts. The company promises this will speed up successful implementation, shorten payback periods and thereby make it feasible to carry out niche or short-term projects.
