Conditions in the working world are always changing, but in particularly revolutionary times such as the modern era of the d!conomy and Industry 4.0, this happens especially quickly. So it’s all the more important to be able to access a central enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and process information in real time - anywhere, any time and from a range of different devices. Having IT systems that can adapt to new requirements and the resultant changes in user behavior can be critical for a company’s future success. Based in Turkey, Industrial Application Software (IAS) is exhibiting its caniasERP business software at CeBIT 2016 in Hannover to show just how easy it can be to make changes on an ERP system – as long as its technology includes a user-friendly integrated development environment (IDE).
Drawing on many years of ERP experience, IAS has pinned down the recurrent factors that require software adjustments. These include user-specific masks designed to improve software ergonomics, as well as the implementation of customized functions tailored to existing corporate or industry-specific considerations. In addition to software optimization in its most conventional form, there is often interest in adapting or expanding individual or inter-departmental processes to boost efficiency within a company. In all these cases, the key focus is ultimately on automating information flows and generating knowledge that benefits companies in the long term. At CeBIT 2016, IAS is using these case scenarios to show how clients, key users and IT technicians can adapt the caniasERP system for themselves with the help of the TROIA integrated development environment.
