Blockchain

Sure to cause a chain reaction!

The Materna GmbH showcase at CEBIT is focusing on a blockchain project for mapping concentrations of particulate matter. Members of the public participating in the project provide data from their own personal air quality monitoring station and in return receive Citizen Blockchain Tokens. They can manage their tokens via an app and redeem them on purchases made in an online store run by the municipal authority. Materna is seizing the perfect opportunity at CEBIT 2018 to forge contacts with municipal authorities, district councils and federal state representatives interested in joining this blockchain project and taking civic participation to a whole new level.

But that's not all - Materna aims to position itself as a consultant for the application of blockchain technology and work with public authorities to develop practical scenarios incorporating system integration, implementation and the selection of technology. The company aims to offer innovation workshops and hackathons and help authorities harness the potential of blockchain technology –- not forgetting to outline how it works, the fundamental opportunities for generating added value, and potential use cases.

Further highlights at its stand located in the Digital Administration display area include intelligent forms management, public sector chatbots and electronic case-files. Last but not least, Materna is also showing off digital enterprise solutions and services related to cloud technology, chatbots, augmented reality, blockchain and Office 365.
