No more phony compliments or dim lighting in the bathroom! The mirror designed by Simon Shen, CEO of Taiwanese company New Kinpo Group , for his wife is as brutally honest as Snow White’s wicked step-mother’s mirror. HiMirror measures the number and depth of wrinkles and amount and degree of unsightly puffiness and identifies clogged pores, blotches, and pigmentations.

Of course, it wasn’t Shen’s intention to drive his wife to despair, which is why he also developed an additional device to help identify the right care and beauty regime: When passed over the face, HiSkin leverages diffusion photon engineering to detect what it is you’re lacking: moisture, oils, vitamins, etc. Just like the smart HairCoach hairbrush from Withings (now owned by Nokia), HiSkin also recommends the right care and beauty products for you. And so far this hasn’t included Botox. The mirror also gives makeup tips based on the latest trends. All data from HiMirror and HiSkin can, of course, be saved using the relevant smartphone App or shared with friends.
