Consumers who still turn up their noses at "Made in China" technology have clearly either slept through the exciting developments of recent years or else are ignoring them on purpose. The fact is, companies such as Huawei, Zopo and Xiaomi may still have exotic-sounding names for Western ears, but they have now become serious technology trailblazers, competing for market share with more established global players from Japan, South Korea, Europe and the United States. Perfectly timed for CEBIT 2018 in Hannover, Dahua Technology is the latest high-tech company from the Far East to announce the launch of its products in Europe. Based in Hangzhou in Southeast China, Dahua Technology is launching its "Lechange" range on the German, Austrian and Swiss markets, ready for direct competition with more established manufacturers of smart home and security solutions.
The current "Lechange" portfolio of WiFi cameras, video doorbells and Airfly Scout sensors is primarily designed for domestic use and SME business requirements. In designing its products, Dahua Technology places particular emphasis on easy installation in true plug & play fashion, with the free “Lechange” app ensuring user-friendly set-up and control. What's more, the company is the first manufacturer of security and video solutions to have received TÜV Rheinland data protection certification. This is valid throughout the EU and confirms that all hardware and software are GDPR-compliant.
