Startups still have until February 12 to sign up for participation in the Palfinger Hackathon 2017 , which the machine engineering company is holding in Vienna on March 4 and 5. The objective will be to develop new ideas for four of the group’s innovation areas within 36 hours, where the focus will be on loading and logistics processes . Palfinger expects more than a hundred participants at this event.
Palfinger has chosen Microsoft's headquarters in Vienna as the venue. This will give participants the opportunity to work with the latest hardware and software. They can, for example, test the Microsoft HoloLens for their application scenario, try out the remote user interface with the help of XMReality or create applications based on the Azure platform.
Participants will have the chance to win prizes worth more than 6,000 euros; those with the best ideas will also be given the opportunity to further develop their ideas with the experts from Palfinger and Tieto .
