This scenario is based on the Allianz Arena, the 75,000-capacity home of FC Bayern Munich, which owns more Bundesliga titles than any other club in history. Before, during, and after a match, there are many facets to managing operations at a stadium of this size. Fans and stadium operators alike have very high expectations concerning everything from security and efficiency to event experiences that are unparalleled from start to finish.
To make sure these standards are met, we’re realizing our vision of the connected stadium by digitally enhancing the fan experience: In and around the Allianz Arena, context-based data is generated – on means of transport, the current traffic situation, the weather, parking, ticket availability, seat occupancy, catering, and more – and then processed on SAP HANA Cloud Platform. This enables the stadium’s staff to respond to events in real time and make sure every match is memorable and comfortable for each of the 75,000 in attendance. All-encompassing scenarios like this are made possible by the SAP HANA platform (including SAP HANA Cloud Platform) and solutions for the Internet of Things. They also include the use of applications such as SAP Vehicle Insights, SAP Hybris Marketing, heat maps, and further analytics solutions from SAP.
