The DSAG is on a clear mission in Hannover - it wants to present itself as the go-to partner for all things SAP in businesses, not least because it is the world's most influential lobbying group for SAP users. The DSAG, which represents more than 3,300 companies and over 60,000 SAP users in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, is at CEBIT to showcase the benefits of membership and introduce its more than 200 committees.
The association is also staging two free events on 13 and 14 June in the Berlin Room (Convention Center) to explore "Predictive target architectures in the digital transformation" (in German) , focusing on the business perspective in one case and IT in the other. "I think it would be great if companies put their heads together to really think about IT architecture so as to carefully weigh up whether they can move their on-premises business processes to cloud models and, if so, which ones," says Otto Schell, the board member at DSAG responsible for IoT and business transformation, adding: "That would be a huge first step toward new architectures!"
Besides the two special events, the SAP users’ group is also giving its first presentation at the fair. On 14 June, from 10.50 to 11.10 a.m., Schell will be speaking on the Expert Stage of the CEBIT Cloud & Blockchain Forum in Hall 13 about "The relevance of networked business" (in German) and explaining why technologies such as blockchain are set to change business.
