Industry 4.0, mobile computing, big data and artificial intelligence solutions - many facets of which were more science fiction than science fact until recently - are bringing radical change to IT landscapes and workplaces in virtually every sector. Above all, ever greater collaboration across company and national boundaries is forcing businesses to modify and digitalize their communications structures. The galloping pace of change is what lies behind the slogan the Cologne-based GUS Group has chosen for its exhibits at this year’s CeBIT in Hannover - "Speed up your digital transformation". And the newly unveiled OS Digital Hub from GUS could play a key role in this process.
The new OS Digital Hub service is aimed at enabling users of the company’s popular OS Suite ERP solution to smoothly transmit selected services and functions across company boundaries. With data security right at the front of developers’ minds, the GUS Group made very sure neither master nor movement data will be revealed with this tool - no matter whether the ERP application is operated in the company's own data center or in the cloud. The OS Digital Hub uses only metadata for its service, and communications with the external user or machine are always encoded.
