For more than 140 years, Toshiba's clever ideas have made it a front runner among the top technological pioneers - and not just in its home country of Japan. One of the group's latest star products is the high-performance dynaEdge DE-100. This innovative edge-computing solution based on Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 IoT recently made its appearance on the European market coupled with "Assisted Reality AR100 Viewer" smart glasses. The device meets the evolving needs of the 21st-century working environment and can be operated hands-free. Developed particularly with field staff in mind, the dynaEdge DE-100 helps make workflows more flexible and efficient, thereby enhancing process quality. This lines it up as the ideal PC for remote maintenance, production, logistics and other industry solutions.
Toshiba saw the market launch of the dynaEdge DE-100 as the perfect opportunity to announce its strategic partnership with Ubimax GmbH, a leading supplier of industry-grade wearable computing and augmented reality solutions. In addition to the actual remote software - which includes Skype for Business to ensure frontline workers can communicate quickly and easily with remote experts via the dynaEdge PC - the partners plan to develop and roll out more innovative software solutions in the future. "We are proud to be at the forefront of industrial computing wearable technology, introducing the first monocular assisted reality solution that combines the power of a Windows 10 Pro PC with industrial smart glasses and Ubimax's sector-specific software solutions," says Maki Yamashita, Senior Vice President, PC & Solutions EMEA, Toshiba Europe GmbH. "This blend enables field staff to achieve an unprecedented level of efficiency and quality in their work processes."
