The Munich-based startup 1.Blitz + Donner GmbH is in Hannover to showcase the "perfect digital tool" for tradespeople. The team knows all too well from experience how laborious it can be to collect and store construction site data. After focusing initially on documentation, they’re now working flat out on additional key functions to make tradespeople's day-to-day work that bit easier.
The WerkerApp creates a direct link between offices and construction sites to beam conventional log books, reports and time sheets into the digital age. The app is specially designed to cut out repetitive work processes such as copying information from scraps of paper and sorting photos. The idea is to kit users out with a digital means of handling all kinds of tasks, from straightforward approvals right through to complex legal disputes.
As the number of languages spoken on building sites continues to grow, the company even plans to add a translation function in a bid to rule out any awkward misunderstandings. Another planned feature is to address "site measurement and tendering", since the period between measuring a site and actually starting work can often be so long that conditions have changed in the meantime. The WerkerApp therefore aims to make it easier to draw up tenders and enable users to clearly flag up any deviations from the original measurements. Last but not least, the WerkerApp can even take all the trouble out of invoicing. Once this ingenious tool from 1.Blitz + Donner GmbH has documented the construction site so precisely, all it takes is the bush of a button to generate an accurate invoice.
