The Swiss IT association "SI" represents the interests of graduate IT professionals and educational institutions, research organizations and companies that are involved in the IT sector. SI provides a forum for its members and lobbies for their interests in politics, education, industry and research. The association is running its first independent stand in the Swiss pavilion at this year’s CeBIT in Hannover and showcasing one of its members, 3D360.ch, which specializes in the production of 360-degree videos.
Bang in line with one of CeBIT 2016's headline topics of virtual reality, the young company from this year's partner country has developed an innovative camera design that combines the images captured by six separate, specially arranged cameras to produce an absolutely breathtaking virtual reality experience. This special technique allows 3D360.ch to record every inch of the space around an imaginary observer and process the data so that viewers can completely immerse themselves in this virtual world. Besides offering spectacular footage of natural phenomena and special events, this innovation is mainly intended as a service that companies can use to present themselves in an utterly original and awe-inspiring light.
