Despite linguistic diversity in web videos posing a major challenge since the birth of the Internet, there have been no real satisfactory solutions. But that's all about to change thanks to Alugha. The startup chose CEBIT 2018 to reveal the Alugha Toolkit comprising video hosting services, an in-house HTML5 multi-track audio player and online software for managing a multilingual video inventory. This innovative toolkit combines all global languages into one single video, which not only minimizes traffic and storage space but also helps reach a much wider audience than monolingual videos.
Usually, all the different language versions of a video need to be uploaded one by one, but companies and film producers can now use the toolkit to host these versions from a central source, manage them via the user area and integrate them into their website with just one code snippet - which according to Alugha makes this solution a world first. What's more, a video page featuring community feedback functions is created for each video, and all relevant metadata such as the title and description is designed to be adjusted to each and every language incorporated into the video. This cutting-edge method of targeted communication presented at CEBIT 2018 enables businesses to tweet video messages in various languages, enhance a LinkedIn article with a multilingual video or gain worldwide support for their next crowdfunding project by addressing viewers in their respective mother tongues - the list goes on!
