Together with its partners, Facebook will be demonstrating how technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality can and will generate added value for society and the economy. Another aspect to be highlighted at CEBIT: Facebook's support of companies of all sizes with digitizing their business models by means of targeted training programs in Germany and throughout Europe. Facebook will also be providing insight into topical issues such as data security and privacy.
"We are pleased to be partnering with CEBIT this year. We're going to be focusing on three core aspects of our innovations strategy: augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence and the teaching of digital skills. In these areas we are already working closely with German companies to support them with their digital transformation processes. Our presence at CEBIT underscores our commitment to German society and business. Together we want to take advantage of the available digital opportunities to help shape the future," reports Martin Ott, Facebook's Managing Director for Central Europe.
Facebook will also be unveiling Oculus Go – the company's first standalone VR headset. This will be its first appearance at an exhibition in Germany. Visitors to the Oculus stand can also learn more about how companies are using Virtual Reality to develop innovative solutions, including companies like Audi and DHL which are leveraging Oculus technology to drive business development in a number of different areas.
Besides Facebook's offerings at its stand, numerous experts from Facebook, Instagram and Oculus will also be sharing insight by means of talks on important topics such as current and future technological and social challenges:
