CEBIT 2018 will focus on digital transformation, innovation and the technologies of the future. Ginni Rometty knows at first hand that data is the driving force behind the modern economy – she calls it "the natural resource of the future".

Rometty, Chairman, President and CEO of IBM, is convinced that our society is at a crossroads due to the increasingly important role played by data and artificial intelligence (AI). In her speech she will explain how AI helps companies and their customers – provided that AI companies handle personal data responsibly and transparently.

Over the past several years, IBM has been undergoing a dramatic transformation and now also offers AI-based solutions and cloud platforms. IBM is a leading global provider of cloud solutions for companies, AI, security, as well as blockchain and quantum technology.

IBM is taking advantage of the new opportunities offered by CEBIT 2018 to showcase its technologies on all four platforms: at d!conomy with its solutions for IT professionals and decision-makers from companies, the public sector and trade, at d!tec with its disruptive business models, on the d!talk conference stages with a series of presentations, and at d!campus as the emotional heart of CEBIT.
