Berlin, Milan and Munich firms among the winners

Blik, Twyla and Boca Health were the winners of Innovator’s Pitch 2017. The contest for early stage European startups is organized by the German digital association Bitkom.

Innovative ideas and technologies in the following categories were asked for: Internet of Things (IoT), Travel & Tourism and Digital Health. Blik from Munich won with its IoT solution in the respective segment. The company focuses on monitoring goods and processes in real time. The combined software and hardware solution generates intelligent sensor data that enables transparent logistics for Industry 4.0.

Twyla from Berlin won in Travel & Tourism. The startup specializes in chatbots, which aim to enhance the digital customer experience. The solution can often also be integrated into popular airline enterprise systems to enable data-driven customer interaction.

The Milanese startup Boca Health won in the area of Digital Health with a non-invasive solution for measuring and monitoring body fluid, which can help prevent cardiac and renal diseases.

The winners of the Bitkom competition receive 5,000 euros in prize money as well as access to the participating investors and corporate partners - such as SAP, Visa and Lufthansa Technik this year.
