An end to bureaucracy?

Calling all public officials and civil servants at CeBIT 2015 – IT service provider Materna presents e-government solutions.

01 Mar. 2015

The frustration of getting hopelessly entangled in endless red tape may soon be a thing of the past. This is thanks to new approaches such as Germany's 2013 E-Government Act, which finally paves the way for public authorities to communicate electronically with citizens and companies. Electronic administration processes at national, regional and local levels can now be completed in a more straightforward, user-friendly and efficient way. During CeBIT 2015 in Hannover, Materna GmbH is exhibiting solutions that will help put legislation like this into practice.

One example on show is the application process for a business license. From submitting the application to receiving confirmation, the Materna solution is a completely seamless process that links up all the relevant local and national administration levels. Materna will also be contributing to the "Digital Administration Processes" theme day to be held on 18 March in Public Sector Parc. This will include the unveiling and discussion of findings from a study conducted in collaboration with the Harz University of Applied Sciences on the effects of the E-Government Act.
