Smartphone messaging services have turned out to be an incredible success story. Although most people find the business of tapping away on a touchscreen a pretty tedious task, and smartphones now offer much more modern methods of communication, nobody really wants to be without them. Some would even like to use these messengers for work purposes, although the leading provider by far in the field is not ideally placed for sharing business information, which must be kept secure and anonymous at all times. The SIMSme Business messaging app, which Deutsche Post AG is exhibiting at CeBIT 2017, is set to change all that, and is now available for Android devices, too.
As the name suggests, SIMSme Business – which until now has been available exclusively for iPhone – is a messaging app that has been customized for the needs of businesses. As such, it is now also going to help Android users improve internal commmunication with colleagues and teams and boost their productivity. Like most other messaging apps, SIMSme Business can also be used to send group messages, exchange voice messages and share (media) files. What’s more, all the data that is shared can be tagged with a self-destruction function or sent out at a specified time. The service conforms to German data protection laws and is run exclusively on servers located in Germany. User management can be run conveniently on an organization-wide level and also ensures conformity with compliance guidelines.
