Tuesday and Wednesday, Hall 13 (Expert Stage)

Cyber security remains top priority for all businesses. As artificial intelligence and machine learning start to impact more and more industries, these technologies play a bigger role also in cyber security. Machine learning models that accurately predict and identify attacks could become elementary for cybersecurity professionals. However, attackers will also exploit these new technologies. Additionally ransomware will continue to claim high profile victims. Companies learned from recent attacks, that it is mandatory to back up regularly, keep patching and updating systems, and strengthen their real-time defenses. Proficient experts address these and other threats and challenges and discuss latest cyber security strategies.

Tuesday to Friday, Hall 13 (Expert Stage)

In the heise online Forum @ CEBIT 2018 current topics from the IT world will be discussed every day from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. Each day is dedicated to a specific topic, which is illuminated with guests from research, industry or the editorial staff.

Tuesday will start with AI and robotics. Among others, there will be discussions with IT developer and university lecturer Timo Daum and Wolfgang Stieler from Technology Review. Wednesday is about autonomous driving, with Olaf Schilgen, who works at Volkswagen in the department for future technologies, Detlef Grell and Axel Kossel from c't and Clemens Gleich from heise Autos. Thursday will be dedicated to IT security with Jürgen Schmidt and Klaus Joseph Keus from BSI, Georg Schnurer and a live hacking with Sebastian Schreiber.

At the end on Friday the makers get their performance.
