Spain as ''Partner State 2010''

Spain had the great honour of being CeBIT's Partner Country in 2010! Spain is reaping the benefits of the rapid expansion of ICT technologies in all fields of life, including e-Government, Education and Health.

• 9th place in the world in e-Government and occupies the second place in Europe in use the electronic signature. Electronic DNI (Spanish Nat. Id Card) Spain, world leader.
• Spain is a leading European country in the use of ICT in the area of education: 99.3% of schools have ITC equipment and Internet connection, 98% of which are broadband connections.
• Pioneer in Online Healthcare: electronic prescription, online appointments, digital medical record.
• Spain currently leads the field in Europe in terms of broadband penetration of both fixed and mobile lines. Leading country in Europe and second in the world in terms of percentage of Internet users who participate in social networks.

Spain is an attractive country for foreign investment in the ICT sector.
