Spain named "Partner Country 2010" for BITKOM and CeBIT

Spain has the great honour of being CeBIT's Partner Country in 2010! Spain is reaping the benefits of the rapid expansion of ICT technologies in all fields of life, including e-Government, Education and Health.

Spain is a leading European country in the use of ICT in the area of education: 99.3% of schools have ITC equipment and Internet connection, 98% of which are broadband connections.

Spain currently leads the field in Europe in terms of broadband penetration of both fixed and mobile lines. Leading country in Europe and second in the world in terms of percentage of Internet users who participate in social networks.
