Or at least, that's what San Diego-based startup Cubibot's current Kickstarter campaign suggests. The funding drive for the company's highly user-friendly and cost-effective 3D printer reached its first goal of 50,000 U.S. dollars in the time it will take you to read this article.
Available at a special Kickstarter price of just under 300 U.S. dollars, the compact and easy-to-use Cubibot printer is a comparatively low-cost option, and will be launched on the market in the first quarter of 2018. "We've been developing and tweaking our Cubibot 3D printer over the past couple of years," explains Sina Noorazar, CDO at Cubibot LLC. "And now we're excited to make easy, affordable and high-quality 3D printing available to consumers everywhere via the launch of our Kickstarter campaign."
Set to be available in either black or white, the Cubibot 3D printer combines a sleek, stylish design with features that match the performance of far more expensive, more professional 3D printers. With a device clearly intended to bring 3D printing to the people, the Californian startup is targeting both private and professional users. While compact dimensions of 25.4 x 25.4 x 25.4 centimeters make the Cubibot 3D printer easy to transport, its maximum build volume is an impressive 12.7 x 12.7 x 12.7 centimeters. It also operates at a printing speed of up to 80 millimeters per second. What’s more, its intelligent ventilation system with replaceable HEPA filters looks out for the health and safety of users, while smart notifications provide accurate information on the printer’s status. "Our Cubibot 3D printer represents a giant leap forward in affordable, plug-and-play 3D printing at a price point that anyone can afford," reports Aria Noorazar, CTO, Cubibot LLC. "With easy set-up and configuration, those with no prior 3D printing experience can be creating their first 3D prints in no time at all. The features-for-price ratio is unlike anything the industry has seen to date, and the quality of our Cubibot prints needs to be seen to be believed." It all sounds very exciting - and there are bound to be even more opportunities to explore the advantages of 3D printing at the next CEBIT.
