IT decision-makers and those responsible for security are able to equip themselves against cyber attacks during the daily breakfast consultation at CeBIT. BWS IT-Security Consulting makes contact with leading specialists.
The number of cyber attacks is drastically increasing. Using two examples Arne Schönbohm, president of the German Federal Office for Information Security [BSI], recently aimed to alert the industry: "Volkswagen says that the number of cyber attacks on its IT network amounts to 6,000 cases per day. And every day we detect more than twenty highly specialized attacks on the government's network."
A survey conducted in November 2016 by the security provider Bitdefender revealed, in the opinion of its IT experts, that many companies are poorly prepared against the biggest cyber threats. The experts see gaps particularly when it comes to phishing (44 percent), physical security (42 percent), external attacks (41 percent), insider sabotage (37 percent), and malware/viruses/intrusions (35 percent).
In Hall 6 , CeBIT 2017 offers a place for companies to go to that have recognized the risk and now seek greater protection. Providers of anti-virus systems, e-mail security via cloud, and Internet security – all the way through to network security are on hand with new solutions in the priority segment of business security.
The exhibitors in Hall 6 – specialized manufacturers and distributors such as indevis, Kaspersky Lab, Palo Alto Networks, Rohde & Schwarz, Secunet, Secusmart, Sophos, Symantec, Trend Micro, Nuvias – also offer their know-how during daily "breakfast consulting" at the trade exhibition. IT decision-makers and those responsible for security can formulate their individual security requirements at the BWS IT-Security Consulting stand in Hall 6. Apart from immediate, independent consulting they are also given a "schedule" with matching offers from providers in the CeBIT priority segment of business security .
ISO 27001, BSI basic protection, data protection, and VdS-3473 are some of the keywords that occur during the consultations. "Whether it is conventional standards, penetration tests, or compliance topics that are involved – we provide support in the jungle of IT security," promises BWS. "Together with our partners we equip your company against the cyber war." The breakfast consulting takes place every day at trade exhibition Stand J40 in Hall 6, from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
