With more than 17,500 customers on board, LeaseWeb is one of the world’s biggest hosting networks. Made up of several independent companies that operate under a shared brand name, the group has decided to take part in its very first CeBIT this year – and with good reason. In the words of LeaseWeb Deutschland GmbH managing director Benjamin Schönfeld, “Quite simply, CeBIT is the largest and most important IT trade fair in the world." The LeaseWeb Group operates nine data centers across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and the United States, all supported by a huge network of over 65,000 physical servers and a total capacity of 5.0 Tbps.
"Studies indicate that global digital data volumes will reach some 40 trillion bytes by 2020 – up from just 5 trillion bytes in 2000," says Schönfeld. “We set up and operate the infrastructure required to process these unprecedented data volumes and help our customers make use of them by means of effective business models." This ambitious outlook is reflected in the network’s bold slogan for its CeBIT début: "From the cloud to custom solutions – grow with LeaseWeb!” At CeBIT 2016, the hosting experts will be exhibiting a wide range of infrastructure-as-a-service solutions that are particularly well suited to large companies, SMEs and startups in search of a reliable hosting partner. The portfolio on show ranges from bare metal servers and private and public cloud solutions right through to content distribution networks (CDN).
