CeBIT 2016 in Hannover marks the German début of the vibrant and stylish EXO high-speed routers available from D-Link in bright orange.
Just a few years ago, even the most cutting-edge hardware and software struggled with the first high-resolution videos. We've now reached the era of 4k media streaming - often transmitted wirelessly throughout the entire house or office. From multimedia applications with ever-increasing resolutions and data rates right through to online gaming with sophisticated graphics, the new EXO Routers from D-Link offer a cost-effective alternative to high-performance ULTRA router models for both home use and the SOHO domain. Available in bright orange, these vibrant and stylish devices are celebrating their German début at CeBIT 2016 in Hannover.
The EXO Routers have been specifically developed for private users in search of high data throughput rates and optimized WLAN coverage at an affordable price. With their distinctive design, jazzed up with a selection of light features, there’s no denying that these new routers are real eye-catchers. The DIR-879 and DIR-869 models that are currently available are perfect for upgrading existing 802.11n systems to the much faster 802.11ac standard. Both routers support up to 1300 Mbit/s at 5 GHz - meanwhile, at 2.4 GHz, the DIR-879 can transfer up to 600 Mbit/s, and the DIR-869 up to 450 Mbit/s. The DIR-879 is also equipped with SmartBeam technology designed to actively direct the wireless signal so that it always reaches devices at its maximum strength.
