abas Software AG from Karlsruhe is using live demos in Hannover to map out how companies can model their business processes in apps and roll them out at the touch of a button.
The slogan for CeBIT 2017 – "d!conomy – no limits" – sums it up perfectly: The digital revolution is taking hold of virtually every corner of the business world, right up to retail and classic craftsmanship. Concepts like Industry 4.0, IoT and fragmentation mean all the relevant departments within a company need to be interconnected as flexibly as possible. This is particularly important, for example, when adapting production processes to new business models. "Automate your business" is the name of the game – and the motto chosen by abas Software AG for this year’s CeBIT in Hannover. The team is particularly keen to show small and mid-sized manufacturing companies how digitalization is changing the way business software can be used to help shape workflows effectively.
The renowned ERP specialist has developed a graphical workflow designer that users can employ to access and design the relevant business processes. State-of-the-art user interfaces, similar to apps, guide users intuitively through all the relevant steps so that even untrained employees can successfully edit system-critical processes. Nothing is tied down to static hardware – whether PC, tablet or smartphone, companies can react more quickly to changing requirements, modify operational processes from anywhere and roll them out without delay.
