"Technology scouts" are what Eurotech CMO Robert Andres calls a group of visitors to CeBIT that are close to his heart. "Representatives from companies around the world who are looking for competent partners, the right building blocks and solutions for challenges they need to meet. System integrators and interested end users can find leading suppliers of products and services for key areas right next to each other at CeBIT," says Andres. A special focus is placed on M2M and the Internet of Things which are housed in Hall 13. "As one of the leading companies in this area, we have greatly expanded our involvement at CeBIT this year," says Eurotech’s Chief Marketing Officer.

This Italian technology provider is bringing an integrated portfolio of hardware and software solutions for M2M and IoT device middleware as well as cloud solutions to the trade show – in other words "all the basic components required for state-of-the-art infrastructure in the Internet of Things," as Robert Andres points out.

As a specialist for the development and integration of embedded systems, Eurotech works closely with major open-source players such as Red Hat and the Eclipse Foundation in order to find flexible, easily-implemented solutions for data communication and device management. At M2M/IoT Eurotech is presenting gateways that link devices, sensors, and actors in the field to the cloud where the data is collected and analyzed. These multi-service gateways are equipped with Eurotech’s Java/OSGi-based "Everyware Software Framework" (ESF). "We were the first, years ago, to embed Java," says Robert Andres. "At CeBIT we have observed how the popularity of our Java/OSCi architecture has grown each year. The trend to open source in IoT is unmistakable."

As a premium partner at Communication & Networks 2016 Eurotech is present at both the IoT/M2M Pavilion in Hall 13 and at " IoT SOLUTIONS " where Eurotech and partners are showcasing use cases from various industries. Within the scope of its premium partnership Eurotech's CEO Roberto Siagri will describe how IoT promotes business innovation with better products and new services at the "Communications & IoT SOLUTIONS" forum.

Since CeBIT repositioned itself in 2014, Hall 13 has become the place to be for IoT/M2M and integrated communications. Following the merger of the Telecommunications and IT displays to form Unified Communications, this hall will become the hotspot for telematics, M2M and the Internet of Things in 2016. Two areas converge here. Business communications (UCC, telephony, etc.) are in the foreground at "Communication & Networks". " IOT SOLUTIONS " will present sector applications from the Internet of Things. The "Communications & IoT SOLUTIONS" forum will support the synergy effects that flow between these two exhibition areas. Many exhibitors have set their sights on both BC and IoT.

Practical concepts for smart cities and new products for corporate business are both the focus of ZTE's exhibition stand. This provider of telecommunication systems, network solutions and mobile end devices will present innovative applications for e-health, smart education and smart transportation at CeBIT along with an urban data operation system for secure smart city applications based on Big Data analyses. In addition, visitors can admire a wireless charging concept for smart factories 4.0 and an IoT-based smart grid.

Automotive and logistics are also important key words at CeBIT 2016. Various individual exhibitors with automotive solutions will take up residence around the IoT/M2M Pavilion in Hall 13. Satellite navigation, fleet management and track & trace are key areas of the booming "Telematics & Automotive" cluster. Teltonika is one of the exhibitors that has greatly enlarged its stand space. "Reduce your expenses by tracking and tracing your goods without interruption" is how this company from the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius advertises its solutions for fleet management and personnel tracking. 3G and LTE routers, WiMAX, video surveillance, and 2G modems also are a part of Teltonika’s portfolio. With its "FM1100" this telematics specialist is showcasing one of the world’s most compact fleet managers at CeBIT.
