Not every company starts out as a mighty a global player with a stellar budget for ostentatious office equipment. In reality, startups have limited budgets and often lack space, which calls for customized hardware. Since it started in 1986 in Taipei, Plustek Technology has focused on developing and marketing scanning solutions for documents, graphics and photos that factor in the needs of small companies and home-office workers. The company is now about to unveil its new SmartOffice PS30D document scanner in Hannover.

The compact, robust and reliable SmartOffice PS30D is the perfect document scanner for small teams and limited work surfaces, such as those in a home environment. But its compact design does not compromise on power. The self-calibrating PS30D scans up to 30 pages or 60 images per minute and its 50-page automatic document feeder can perform a 3,000-page-per-day duty cycle. It can also scan rigid card up to 1.2 millimeters thick and documents up to 5,080 millimeters long. Useful features include auto-rotation and alignment and automatic color-to-grayscale and blank page deletion. Last but not least, its replaceable wear parts make the SmartOffice PS30D extremely easy to service.
