Business collaboration tools, multi-channel input management, and output management transform communication.
"ECM digitalizes the economy!" This is the 2015 slogan of the CeBIT cluster ECM, Input/Output Solutions in Hall 3. Here you can experience the latest document solutions – beginning with the mailroom, to scanning and processing in ECM systems, to archiving and output solutions. Partners for this area are the industry associations BITKOM and VOI. Exhibitors include Optimal Systems, d.velop, windream, Easy, Docuware and ELO in the ECM sector; Inotec and Image Access in the input sector; and Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Brother and Epson in the field of output management.
"Send me an e-mail!" Where once it was necessary to send a document back and forth via e-mail when working on it together, today’s business collaboration tools support the company-wide exchange of know-how and information. "This does not mean simply the use of nice, new tools such as blogs, wikis or social networks in businesses," as the BITKOM guideline "Enterprise 2.0" states. Instead business collaboration is "a change in corporate culture and more far-reaching than a simple technical innovation."
Changes in corporate culture can be seen most clearly in mobile document management. According to BITKOM's 2014 ECM barometer, every second company makes mobile end devices with Internet connectivity available to its workers. Not only field staff but also stationary colleagues have access to important documents via web clients or apps from almost everywhere. Modern cloud-based file systems facilitate the exchange of documents with external parties. Multi-channel input management systems help process, archive and respond to all incoming information and incorporate, in addition to e-mail, letter post, faxes and social media.
"Knowledge in – knowledge out": Output management deals with providing information to various target groups using different output channels in electronic and physical form. Modern output management software facilitates the creation and formatting of documents as well as aid in printing and distribution. "In cooperation with our partner windream, we provide our customers custom-fit ECM solutions which form an efficient unit within our output landscape," explains Reinhard Sczesny, Application & Project Manager Solutions at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Germany. Thanks to its modular construction, the solution can be adapted to fit a company’s specific IT demands and frameworks.
Located directly across from the ECM Solutions Park, current topics and trends will be presented and discussed under the motto "ECM digitalizes the economy!" at the CeBIT ECM Forum (Hall 3, Stand B06), organized by BITKOM and Deutsche Messe.
