Datalogic is at CeBIT 2017 with the RIDA healthcare handheld scanner for excellent image capture and 1D/2D barcode scanning – even when reading smartphone displays.
In the healthcare sector in particular, safe handling of equipment, machinery, medicines and samples is vitally important – especially when it comes to ensuring compliance in administration and inventory management. Barcode scanners have long proved their worth in this area, assisting doctors, lab workers and care personnel in their work and also reducing the risk of infection when used properly. For instance, the handheld scanners and mobile computers developed and distributed by the Datalogic Group for use in sensitive applications are made with special materials that help prevent infection and can withstand even aggressive disinfectants. The Holzmaden-based company is in Hannover this year to showcase the new wireless Bluetooth RIDA DBT6400 Healthcare area imager.
The RIDA DBT6400 Healthcare handheld scanner is so compact that it can be stored in a pants pocket. What’s more, its elegant, ergonomic design makes it both comfortable to hold and the perfect match for all the mobile devices it supports – pairing is straightforward with systems based on Android, Apple iOS or Windows. The scanner captures both 1D and 2D barcodes, and – thanks to its exceptionally efficient targeting system – can also read low-contrast, damaged and badly printed codes, as well as those displayed on smartphone screens with low back lighting. The RIDA DBT6400 Healthcare itself uses a lighting system based on white illumination to prevent eyestrain.
