What to do with all the data? At the Digital Office Area ECM providers demonstrate solutions for handling digital contents.

06 Mär. 2017

"No limits – total digital with ECM" - under this slogan Bitkom (in CeBIT Hall 3 ) points out the various ways in which enterprise content management (ECM) is able to make business processes more simple, more efficient, and more economical. In the Digital Office Area of the association, consulting companies, providers, and manufacturers present their newest input/output solutions – from data capture to document management, all the way through to archiving.

The "Digital Office Stage – powered by CeBIT & Bitkom" is located opposite the group exhibition stand. The lectures and panel discussions in the new forum provide information about current trends in the digitization of office and administrative processes. Users and experts from Bitkom member companies, science, and politics are available to answer questions.

The "platinum partners" of the forum include Adobe Systems GmbH, JobRouter AG, KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, KYOCERA Document Solutions Deutschland GmbH, windream GmbH, and WMD Vertrieb GmbH. Other contributions are provided by AFI - P.M. Since July 1, 2016 the regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market (eIDAS regulation) is directly applicable in the Member States. It regulates secure electronic business processes between companies, authorities, and citizens on a uniform basis throughout Europe. Companies, administrations, and private persons can exchange digital documents such as offers, purchase orders, contracts, and more on a uniform legal basis within the EU with the help of electronic signatures, seals, time stamps, delivery services, and certificates for authentication. The Bitkom working group "Application of Electronic Trust Services" discusses new applications and provides important incentives for completely concrete digitization against the background of the current draft of the trust services law.

Wednesday, March 22, 2017, 10:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m.: Panel discussion "Smart Chat Bots: When Robots Take Charge of Customer Service"

In the course of the digitization of processes, the use of chat bots continues to develop. New technical possibilities develop automated communication with customers and thus make more efficiency possible for the company. Such automations offer significant cost advantages and additional improvements in service. Its use in the sphere of customer service in Asia is already far progressed. And the first western messengers are catching up in the meantime. WhatsApp has announced that it wants to open up soon for companies. And at its last conference for developers, Facebook presented the Facebook messenger platform for bot development. Will chat bots thus become generally accepted in the sphere of communication with customers? Will they even make customer service telephone employees completely superfluous? Answers to these questions are provided at the panel discussion by experts from Bitkom.
