The CESAcruise hands-free voice communications system for cyclists launched by startup SMINNO is a world first. It sure caught the attention of plenty of visitors to CeBIT’s startup zone, SCALE11, including the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Brigitte Zypries.
Following its successful debut at CeBIT 2016, newcomer SMINNO GmbH from Kassel returned to Hannover this year to showcase the latest developments on its CESAcruise hands-free voice communications system and the CESAtube special amplifier for cyclists. It was clear from day one that this was a good move! After her opening speech for Community Night, Zypries, who also hails originally from Kassel, headed straight to the SMINNO stand to find out more about the smart ideas the young entrepreneurs have been developing in her home city.
As the world’s #1 stage for all aspects of digitalization, CeBIT once again proved the perfect place for SMINNO GmbH to further establish its products on the market for bicycles, buoyed as it currently is by the boom in e-Bikes. And latest reports reveal that SMINNO is on the right path. For example, just as the cycling season kicks off once again, the company is embarking upon a joint venture with Ahooga, a Belgian manufacturer of lightweight folding (e-)bicycles. The two companies want to start work on creating an "Internet of Bikes" by combining Ahooga’s folding (e-)bicycles with the CESAcruise hands-free voice communications system. Ahooga bicycles can already be ordered with a CESAcruise on the handlebars and this combination is soon going to be an option in the SMINNO online shop, too.
