It's common knowledge that career prospects in the IT sector are very bright, with 43,000 unfilled positions right now. Companies are desperately looking for employees — and yet women remain distinctly underrepresented among the ranks of IT workers. It is important to counteract this trend and make a contribution to helping highly skilled women attain commensurate positions.
On 17 March 2016 the digital association Bitkom, Vogel IT Academy, WIN and CeBIT are inviting all interested parties to a networking event in the Convention Center located on the CeBIT showgrounds in Hannover, Germany. Their shared goal: bringing together and supporting women in the digital industry!
The successful " Women in Digital Business " conference will have its next sequel at CeBIT 2016. Numerous "model careers" pursued by young and experienced female professionals will show what is possible and how things can be set in motion for positive change. A set of intriguing keynote addresses, world cafes and think tanks will explore the major IT trends, including topics such as women in leadership positions, cultural change in corporations, change management and startup entrepreneurship. And last but not least: the big "Bitkom Executive Night" networking event. Participants are once again being invited by Bitkom and CeBIT.
The "Women in Digital Business" event is intended to help pave the way for women interested in pursuing IT careers, also helping them to find positions that fit their qualifications while at the same time giving potential employers a way of reaching out to the highly qualified personnel they need. Bitkom’s involvement as a partner is sure to have a positive impact on the conference, the outcome of which will resonate throughout the association’s channels and create ripple effects in the realms of government and business.
