I n Germany, nearly 6 million people aged 14 and over do some form of jogging in their spare time, and one in ten managerial employees is a keen marathon runner. Running clears the mind, helps maintain a healthy body weight, improves concentration and promotes a healthy sense of self-worth. But most importantly, it’s fun, especially if it’s done in an unusual and stimulating setting – such as the exhibition halls at the CeBIT show in Hannover, for example.

It will soon be that time again. Time for IT managers and trade fair visitors to take off their suits, put on their T-shirts and shorts and start out on the "Business Run powered by CeBIT." The run will be held in Hall 11 at the Hannover Exhibition Center on Wednesday 16 March 2016, starting at 7 pm sharp.

The "Business Run powered by CeBIT" takes its participants through the exhibition halls, past the movers, shakers and creative startups of the international digital scene, past big names and industry newcomers from around 70 nations, and alongside exquisitely designed stands with their amazing exhibits and lively "after-work" parties. If you’d like to experience CeBIT from a more relaxed and sporting perspective, then the "Business Run powered by CeBIT" is definitely the way to go, whether you’re an exhibitor, visitor, delegate, journalist, service provider or just a plain and simple running enthusiast.

The "Business Run powered by CeBIT" is all about sharing the love of running. Which is why more than 200 runners have already signed up – a whole four months out from the show.

The running circuit is 2.5 kilometers long, and participants can compete as individuals or in teams over a maximum distance of 10 kilometers per runner and for a maximum duration of 1.5 hours. There is a team event in which the distances run by each member are added and the team with the most kilometers wins. Plus there is a special category for company teams.

Entry fees for the "Business Run powered by CeBIT" start at €12. For further information, including registration details, visit { "href" : "http://www.cebit-run.de/", "vLink" : false, "text" : "www.cebit-run.de", "target" : "_blank", "tracking" : null } .

Plus a samba ensemble will be doing its best to fire the runners up and keep them motivated. Runners and spectators will be able to gain access to the venue free of charge from 6 pm on.
