A recent Microsoft survey shows that an increasing number of enterprises are convinced by the benefits of digital technology. However, uncertainty has prevailed as to its implementation and CEOs are still reluctant to invest: according to KfW, four out of five SMEs have implemented digitalization projects over the last three years. But, nearly half of them spent less than 10,000 Euros.Microsoft
Sabine Bendiek, Chairwoman of the Management Board, Microsoft Germany, calls for more courage: “Enterprises should finally release the brake and make extensive investments into the future, even beyond their lighthouse projects”, she said at CeBIT 2017.
At CeBIT 2017, Microsoft shows specific approaches to a successful digital transformation and presents its portfolio of solutions for collaboration (SharePoint), communication (Skype for Business), customer loyalty and resource planning (Dynamics 365), as well as security at four booths with more than 40 partners.
Microsoft’s digital economic miracle
Microsoft's motto at this year’s CeBIT is again "Digital Economic Miracle – Diversity in Moving Forward". In 2015, Microsoft initiated the discussion on creating the right environment for digital transformation in Germany by publishing the Memorandum for the Digital Economic Miracle. Last year, Microsoft explained at CeBIT which Factors of Change result in the acceleration of this transformation.
