IoT for modern systems & machinery as well as legacy systems – a SMB showcase.
Digital transformation poses an ongoing challenge to small and medium businesses. Few precious existing devices are suitable for tomorrow’s fully integrated production process. Nevertheless, legacy machines and production equipment should be able to communicate seamlessly with modern IT infrastructure. How Industrie 4.0 and IoT can work in reality is shown by INTEC International GmbH, the SAP-system house ITML GmbH and the 3D-printer manufacturer German RepRap GmbH with their partner 3Dokuteam GmbH.
At the INTEC International GmbH in hall 5, A05 you will see a working example of how the digital transformation for German SMB can be done in a reasonable and affordable way, using a unique gateway technology providing management and security functionality.
Further involved at the showcase:
The construction in the CAD/CAM-System by Schott Systeme GmbH, the quality control with ML!PA GmbH, the business analytics with the "BigData Monitor®" by Hammacher Datentechnik GmbH and the financing with the pay per use approach accomplished by the company SE.M.LABS GmbH.
The benefit for users is obvious: Prolonged live periods of legacy machines and production devices, cost cutting by reducing development expenditures and by shortening project time budgets due to reduced development time, high security granted by adequate IoT firewall rules, and confidence in future-proof investments.
