In cloud computing, IT services are made available flexibly and in real time as a service via the Internet or within a business’s intranet. Invoicing depends on usage,so long-term fixed investments are transformed into variable costs. That is why cloud computing remains the dominant theme in the information industry.

In partnership with Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology, BITKOM e.V. presents this theme a second time in hall 4 at "Cloud Computing World" – a trade fair within the trade fair.

Cooperation with other partners, an extensive program of events, additional highlevel events, guided tours for visitors and representatives of the media, as well as special activities for journalists make "Cloud Computing World" the central contact point for users, manufacturers, the media and policymakers at CeBIT.

Presentations at the Forum

The users will play an especially important role in the presentations at the Forum: users report on their practical experiences, in tandem (if appropriate) with providers, system integrators or in other constellations. Praxis reports will be augmented by lectures by jurists, market researchers and analysts, as well as by experts who design the framework conditions for cloud computing. Most of the themes target the users, and individual branches will occupy the focal point from March 6 to 8: public administration, energy supply, financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing industries and logistics. The IT industry, small & medium enterprises and provide users complete the spectrum of themes.

Cloud Computing World is augmented by the www.cloud-practice.de Internet portal, which BITKOM operates together with its partners. The portal offers comprehensive information from the perspective of users and providers, as well as orientation for the cloud-service market.
