Within the scope of the Welcome Night, this year’s Partner Country Japan will be represented by Prime Minister Shinzō Abe who will join Chancellor Angela Merkel to formally launch CeBIT 2017.
As the world’s third largest economy Japan is one of the richest countries worldwide. Its economic structure is characterized by a broad diversity, an advanced technology and a strong focus on export.
From 20-24 March 2017 Japan is taking the opportunity to present itself to Europe and the rest of the world as a powerful high tech nation and one of the leading countries in digitalization.
Among the 2.000 guests who are invited to the Welcome Night 2017, the attendance of numerous high-ranking politicians, more than 100 CEO’s of leading industrial corporations and about 300 international media representatives is expected.
