The European Cyber Security Conference will provide a platform for a comprehensive inventory taking and for initiating a sustainable discussion of this mission-critical topic. Together with the Deutsche Messe, heise events organizes this year's renowned CeBIT Security Plaza. As in previous years, the Security Plaza is the central point of contact for security issues. On about 700 square meters, exhibitors from the security industry present their products and services.
At the same time practical lectures about safety are taking place on the forum stage: Experts from renowned industry leaders report on controversial security holes and how to close them.
Communication & Networks / IoT Solutions
On stage in hall 13 pivotal questions and developments driving Communications & IoT SOLUTIONS will be explored. Existing as well as future industries created by IoT will have the floor in hall 13 - the first address for IoT at CeBIT.

New for 2016 is the StackingIT stage at the East end of Hall 12. This new stage explores the world of open-source and the data-driven data center movement, mapping the transition from proprietary to non-proprietary software and hardware models.
Endorsed by the likes of OpenStack, Open Computer, The Linux Foundation and other major industry organisations that are helping define the software defined data center.
ECM, Input/Output Solutions
The CeBIT ECM panel is organized by Deutsche Messe together with the significant interbranch organization BITKOM. The panel gives a comprehensive overview of the most important trends and developments in Enterprise Content Management and Output/Input Solutions.
Numerous top-class lectures are dealing with current relevant questions of this industry.

The CeBIT Switzerland Summit will be held on the first day of the fair and provide an overview of Switzerland's digital landscape. The Summit will also feature discussion and presentations on key technology trends and opportunities for partnering with Switzerland's innovative ICT sector.
The speaker lineup includes top government representatives from Germany and Switzerland.
On each day of the fair, SWISS Pavilion exhibitors will present innovative solutions, products and technological visions within the framework of the SWISS Pavilion Panel. Featuring presentations, social events, prize awards and panel discussions, future talk will be the communicative centerpiece of Research and Innovation . From Monday thru Friday institutes, research centers, universities and business enterprises will present their versions of tomorrow’s world.
The Research and Innovation program will also include the presentation of the CeBIT Innovation Awards for 2016. The competition is being staged jointly by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Deutsche Messe AG.

After successful years of SCIENCE|SQUARE at the Hannover Fair, the innovative format will be celebrating its premiere at CeBIT 2016 at Hall 6, the new location of "Research & Innovations" !
SCIENCE|SQUARE will show numerous exhibits of the latest innovations, latest results, products and services of seven German federal states. The exhibitors of the common booths of the German federal states of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, the innovation market Berlin-Brandenburg and Research for the Future (represented by Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony) are showing highlights from research and technology in a joint program.

On 6 May 2015, the European Commission presented its strategy for creating a Digital Single Market in the European Union by removing regulatory barriers and moving from 28 fragmented national markets to a single market. The strategy comprises some 16 individual initiatives for implementation by the end of 2016. At our Startup Stage startups will be in the spotlight of SCALE11. At this stage they will pitch and showcase solutions and disruptive ideas within the topics of our community areas.
Tree times a day, young entrepreneurs will compete against each other in the SCALE11 boxing ring. In the first round each startup will pitch its business idea, this will be rated in round 2 by the "enemy" and in the 3rd round a jury of experts will decide between victory and defeat.
