CeBIT Digital Summits

The ongoing trend toward digitalization in all areas of economic activity poses new challenges for companies and employees across a number of sectors. Held over four days, the Digital Summits will focus on solutions for one main sector or topic area each day.

Hall 8 | Bamboo Stage

20 - 23 March 2017

The format includes keynote addresses plus multiple workshops, where participants can share their experiences and discuss ideas, opportunities, challenges and current best practice.

Each summit will have 150 – 200 participants. As well as the formal program, there will be ample opportunity for informal networking and expert dialogue.

The Digital Summits will be held in Hall 8 near the CeBIT Global Conferences and will run from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily.

The new opportunities, challenges and solutions created by digitalization are revolutionizing corporate working life. HR departments are under pressure to find and recruit people with the right digital skills while at the same time empowering existing employees to play a role in the digital transformation.

This, in turn, requires close consultation with trade unions, who are steadily stepping up their digitalization awareness and campaign activities.

This summit examines the emerging challenges of digitalization at work and highlights the latest solutions and current best practice. In a series of keynotes and workshops, the participants will map out a model for the future of work and discuss what needs to happen to make it a reality.

23 March 2017 - Women in Digital Business

Next year marks the third time that CeBIT will host the Women in Digital Business conference. In 2017, it will focus even more closely on technical digitalization and IT issues. Digitalization calls for a major shake-up of all IT processes and many non-IT business processes as well. How should companies go about this? What are the impacts and benefits?

Does digitalization offer opportunities for women in IT departments? In what ways can digital technologies be used to support women in IT? Women in Digital Business will explore a range of themes, including big data, security and new technologies. As in previous years, it will feature workshops and keynotes.
