Next level S3D: Three dimensions up close and personal

Since 3D first appeared in its own special area at CeBIT 2010, the technology has reached a whole new level.

3D programs can now be seen on TV, 3D capability is increasingly available for basic devices, and it's even possible to have a 3D TV experience without colored glasses.

There is enormous potential, and not just in the entertainment sector. Experts see ever more applications for 3D technologies in healthcare, research and business. Digital scanners are replacing tooth impressions at the dentist, researchers are working on new 3D microscopes, and pioneering furniture stores offer 3D cinemas where customers can explore virtual kitchens. The XML3D web language is generating buzz on the Internet by making it easier to include 3D objects on websites, so that even small online shops can show off their wares from every angle.

Increasingly demanding consumers and the technologies' inherent attractiveness are driving these trends, with research centers and companies playing a central role in pushing innovation ever further.

Many of these players were already at CeBIT in past years, and positive feedback from exhibitors was decisive in bringing back the Next Level S3D special exhibition area in 2012, now in a larger space and right next to the main entrance in Hall 15. Bundling together exhibits in this sector focuses the attention of both the public and the trade press.

The Next Level S3D special exhibition area offers interested companies additional opportunities to present their latest products and innovations. The combined effect of the Next Level S3D / Expo joint stand, the Next Level S3D ProCinema area and the individual exhibitors showcases all aspects of 3D technology to highlight this exciting and innovative sector. The event program and additional information will be available here about three weeks before the show opens.

The platform's marketing potential has risen measurably in recent years, and a broad public is now aware of this trade show highlight. Trade professionals and consumers appreciate this new marketplace as much as industry and media representatives, who can experience the latest 3D hardware, 3D software and 3D content creations first-hand. Take a look into the three-dimensional future at this meeting place for 3D professionals and interested consumers!
