The Webciety - Internet Solutions exhibition area once again characterizes the new CeBIT format with its mix of business development and general networking, and exchanges of knowledge and experience. The Internet industry has met here since 2009, discussing the trends and developments paving the way into the Internet era. Aside from the Webciety conference and area, this section offers a second eCommerce focus with the eCommerce Forum and Park.
Webciety 2011
The themed stages in the exhibition area are a basic component of Webciety. Every year, the "Webciety Conference" presents a top-notch, international program on stage. Start-up pitches, technical discussions with experts and decision-makers, and informal talks with selected industry figures zero in on the trends, opportunities and challenges facing Internet-based businesses processes and models.
Rounding out the "Webciety Conference," the "eCommerce Forum" at CeBIT 2012 provides yet another themed stage covering eCommerce trends. The spotlight is on mobile commerce, social commerce, couponing, TV shopping (hybrid TV), multi-channel commerce and other e-commerce trends.
The "Webciety area" is unique at CeBIT and makes the Internet "walkable." The network theme is reflected in the area’s open and clear structure. Companies make their "homebases" here. The central element is an impressive tower highlighting the corporate logos and offering a digital presentation surface.
Complementing the "Webciety area," the "eCommerce Park" offers a theme park devoted to eCommerce. The same architectural concept prevails here, providing exhibitors with homebases equipped for networks and digital presentations.
Amid these special surroundings, the exhibition area also offers conventional stands where leading companies in the field create their individual and innovative presence.
The inviting interactive discussions, the open architecture of the exhibition area, and the lounge and rendezvous areas provide a variety of options for meetings and exchanges of information on the Internet economy.
