The digitization of our society has led to a well-focused convergence of the media in the ICT industries. Films, music, computer games and texts are in electronic form, and the public can call up and disseminate them with Internet-enabled TVs, smartphones, tablets or notebooks at any time. In doing so, they pose big problems for content producers. Old business models are collapsing, and the big questions about new, sustainable licensing models are still up in the air.
CeBIT 2012 takes up this issue with a discussion platform unrivaled across the globe: the CeBIT C3 Conference – Content Creativity Convergence. It is the first conference to assemble publishers, game developers, music and film producers, and suppliers from the ICT sector to jointly look for answers. These sessions covering the media categories of music, TV/film and print/publishing will certainly focus the participants’ attention and promote purposeful discussion.
