Job fair, career market and Recruiting Day – CeBIT's new employment action package has two goals: combat the lack of qualified personnel and help future ICT workers enter the workforce.
According to the high-tech industry association BITKOM, the German economy has around 38,000 unfilled positions for IT experts. The need for software developers is especially high – 84 percent of ICT companies with job openings are seeking them. Forty percent need marketing and sales experts, and 36 percent IT consultants. The Recruiting Trends study compiled by employment website Monster and Bamberg and Frankfurt am Main Universities for the past ten years confirms: the lack of qualified personnel in the ICT sector, engineering and research and development is worsening. Experienced employees as well as recent graduates with the correct training are urgently sought.
CeBIT 2012 is therefore strongly expanding its recruiting actions and strengthening its status as the most important career market in the digital world. The Resources & Career focus is a significant component of CeBIT lab in Hall 26. The offer ranges from consulting and talent search to on-site job placement.
A new element is the CeBIT job fair in cooperation with monster.de. The search engine for jobs in the international ICT sector launched some weeks ago already. In addition, monster.de is present at CeBIT in Hall 26, Stand G54. Recruiting Day on Saturday, 10 March is also new to CeBIT. It targets job-seekers in the information and communication technologies fields: recent graduates, IT professionals open to a change, marketing experts and controllers. Recruiting Day offers numerous events and concrete job offers.
The CeBIT lab talk conference forum in Hall 26, Stand J50, also provides answers to education and career questions in the digital world. A further highlight is the joint presentation by various industrial companies, the Job & Career Market by Computerwoche, Hall 26, Stand E54. This dialoguing platform offers IT professionals, young professionals, students, graduates and career-changers direct contact with HR managers and the possibility of meeting with them and submitting applications on-site. Podium discussions and company presentations around the careers topic are found at the CeBIT Job & Career Market presentation forum.
