Nikolay was appointed Chief Technology Officer at Kaspersky Lab at the beginning of 2009. In this role he is responsible for developing the overall technology strategy for the company, driving all engineering and research activities, and overseeing the whole Kaspersky R&D organization.
Under Nikolay¿s leadership, Kaspersky¿s products consistently achieved top protection ratings in independent reviews, winning numerous awards. In September 2011 Nikolay has been ranked in the top 100 Most Powerful Voices in security by i-technology magazine SYS-CON Media.
Prior to transitioning to the CTO role, Nikolay served as Vice President of Research and Development and Deputy Director of Innovative Technologies at Kaspersky Lab. Before joining Kaspersky Lab, he worked as a device driver developer, database programmer, general software programmer and project manager for several IT companies based in Moscow.
Nikolay has a PhD in Computer Science from Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
