Christian is the Chief Executive Officer of Lantiq, responsible for the company's overall strategy, vision, and technology. Before accepting this position in November 2009, Christian was Division President Wireline Communications within Infineon Technologies AG in Munich, the operating group from which Lantiq was formed.
At Infineon, Christian held various General Manager positions in the Communications Group over the past 15 years. Of particular note, he managed the successful transition of his group's work into today's rich broadband market space. Prior to Siemens Semiconductor becoming Infineon, Christian was the General Manager of the Communications ICs Business Unit for Siemens. He was also active in the R&D environment in wireline and wireless applications early in his career.
Christian holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich.
